About Me
Based in Clemmons, NC, I provide expecting mothers with the emotional and physical support they need to have a gentle, fulfilling, and positive birthing experience.
With Mr. Doula, you can rest assured that everything will be handled efficiently and effectively. I approach birth holistically, and I am humbled and honored to share my expertise with women and their families in Winston-Salem and surrounding areas. Contact me to get started.

I am a 50-year-old father of four. I have a wonderful wife named Kim, my father and stepmother, a stepfather and another stepmother, a younger brother, a German step-sister, and a German step-brother. Additionally, I have a large extended family throughout NC. Before college and career, I began working in my family's business (a hardware store) in Raeford, NC. I acquired my degree in Computer Information Systems and then began my IT career. I have worked in IT since I was 23, and most recently, I spent the past decade as an IT consultant.

Eleven years of my IT career were spent at a local hospital, which significantly contributed to my interest in birth work. In 2009, I began to feel called to pursue a career in birth work. As life often goes, dreams take a back seat to reality. Therefore, it has taken me this long to fulfill my goal of working with expectant families. My family is very supportive, as is most of the local birth worker community. I am thrilled and honored to now offer support to expectant mothers and their loved ones through the blessing of childbirth.

I received my initial training and certification from the CAPPA Academy. Additionally, I have surrounded myself with many knowledgeable and highly experienced Doulas and Midwives, who have helped prepare me to support women during the birthing process. I continually read and further my knowledge about birth work.

In my free time, I enjoy riding motorcycles, mechanics, and weight training.

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
~John 8:31-32
"The iron is the best antidepressant I have ever found. There is no better way to fight weakness than with strength. Once the mind and body have been awakened to their true potential, it's impossible to turn back. The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that you’re a god or a total failure. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds."

“No one will ever love me as unconditionally as my mother did. I miss her with every passing day.”
