Hi, My name is Jason. I am a Labor Doula, serving Winston-Salem, NC, and surrounding areas. I support births at home, in hospitals, and in birthing centers. I provide families with knowledge, comfort measures, and emotional support before, during, and immediately after birth. Additionally, I advocate for families, offering a bridge of communication between them and their caregivers. I am passionate about enabling expecting families to have a positive, memorable birth experience. I encourage the partner to become comfortable with the process and be as engaged as possible. I will guide and encourage them to support the mother and work with the couple to provide the necessary support, whether in the forefront or the background. My ultimate goal is for your maternity process to be accomplished as close to your birth plan as possible.

Preparing a birth plan, which establishes how you prefer for your birth to occur. For example, are you open to as much medical intervention as possible? Or would you prefer a more natural birth?

Comfort measures, such as pressure point massage, breathing techniques, and recommendations for laboring positions.

Suggestions and assistance for encouraging a malpositioned baby to move into an ideal birthing presentation

Applying all of the knowledge and techniques I have learned in my training to reduce the likelihood of your baby being delivered via a Cesarian birth. This most commonly occurs due to "Failure to progress."

Sharing the realities of postpartum depression. I have witnessed it firsthand. I can teach families the warning signs to look for and direct them to helpful resources.

Reducing the probability of the most common regret I hear from families after birth resulting in undesirable outcomes or experiences, which is: "I wish I had done my homework." That will not happen, because I have and will do the homework for you. Guaranteed!
